Challenge

As development progressed, bottom-water influence increased liquid loading and constrained gas flow. The project needed a low-disturbance path to recover production while managing water production risk.

Process design

The jet-pump gas-lift process combines injected high-pressure gas with a downhole jet pump. It improves liquid carrying capacity and uses suction-pressure control to manage bottomhole pressure, helping coordinate pressure control, water control, and liquid unloading.

Engineering review

The team compared multiple recovery options, used transient simulation and flow-test feedback, and reviewed sealing, temperature, pressure, and verification steps before selecting a phased pressure-control production strategy.
