Mechanical Disconnect

Mechanical Disconnect

Mechanical Disconnect

The Mechanical Disconnect is a downhole tool release device that relies on upward tensile force to shear a pin. It is designed for coiled tubing operations. When a downhole tool becomes stuck or requires an emergency release, the operator can apply a preset upward tensile force to shear the pin, achieving a safe release while leaving a standard GS fishing neck for subsequent fishing operations. This tool does not require hydraulic or rotational operations, making it suitable for a variety of complex well conditions and improving operational safety and reliability.

Product Features

No Hydraulic Control, Simple Operation: The disconnect is completed by shearing a pin with upward tensile force, making it suitable for low-pressure wells or non-pressure operational environments.

Standard GS Fishing Neck Design: After a disconnect, a GS fishing tool can be used for quick retrieval, improving operational efficiency.

Replaceable Shear Pins, Adjustable Tensile Force: The specifications of the shear pins can be adjusted according to different operational needs, allowing for a controlled release.

Compact Structure, Strong Load Capacity: Suitable for high-tensile and high-torque operational environments, ensuring the safety and stability of downhole operations.

No Ball-Drop or Rotation Requirements, Strong Adaptability: Suitable for complex conditions such as horizontal wells, extended-reach wells, and high-pressure gas wells, and is not affected by wellbore fluids or pressure.
